Sippy Cup...yippeee!!

Emilia is learning to drink from her own cup....a sippy cup. She's been doing a great job and seems to enjoy drinking water. She has been chattering a lot. If you listen closely...you will hear some of her words.

Sunday afternoon at Stinson Beach

It was a beautiful drive down Hwy 1 to Stinson Beach.

My Nana had fun catching some rays.

I had a good time just playing in the sand.

More fun in the sun...I liked watching all the doggies on the beach. Woof woof!

Sand!! I had fun running my fingers and hands through the sand.

And crawling around in the sand.

Emilia goes to her first birthday party

Emilia's first birthday party was a lot of fun. Mommy and Daddy had a great time watching her interact with the other babies. She was a little shy at first, but became very independent and curious. She made friends, shared well, and was very patient when others didn't want to share. She was very engaged throughout the day and was on her best behavior.

Sunday at the beach at 9 months old

We took the princess to Chrissy Field to enjoy the gorgeous weather on Sunday. She loves to play in the grass. Here she is discovering lawn daisies.

Hanging out with Mommy watching all the kids play. Emilia is very interested in what's going on around her. Especially if it has anything to do with other kids.

WOW...9 MONTHS!

Today I turned 9 months old. I love to be very active and spend my time exploring the house and perfecting my stand.

I now have 4 teeth and love to stick my tongue out to feel them against it. I can clap my hands, click my tongue, and try to whistle when I see or hear the birdies.

You can see that I can't wait to stand up all by myself. I'm barely holding on to Mommy in this photo.

Here I am trying to help Mommy put away our water. I love to drink from the water bottle!

I Love Bananas!

Kite Flying at the Park

There was a kite flying festival at the Berkeley Marina. Emilia had a great time looking at all the kites in the sky. She especially loved these huge kites - one is an Octopus and the other was a huge dog.

Oh, and she also loved playing in the grass.

There was lots to see at the park - kids, squirrels, birds, boats, and water. Emilia had a great time taking it all in.

This is the first day Emilia showed us her new trick...to our delight we caught it on camera.

We had dinner in Tahoe with Emilia. She behaves herself so well, and is a complete grown up in her high chair. We had a great time on our family vacation.
